The built-in receiver takes commands from the remote and manages the fan’s speeds and light functions. It is usually found on top of the motor and has dipswitches that must be matched with the remote in order to function. Compatible replacement parts can be ordered by contacting customer service. Warning: Risk of Electric Shock. Damaged parts may discharge, handle with care or contact an electrician.
Below are the video instructions for replacing the receiver on the Miramar ceiling fan. If you have a Brookedale or Ansley ceiling fan, use the “Instruction Sheet” link under “Resources” for instructions. You will need to bring the fan down from the ceiling to replace the receiver.
